Giraffes Can't Dance by
Giles Andreae
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A cute book about Gerald a giraffe who cannot dance. Every year, he feels sad because when the other animals dance beautifully, Gerald can only watch. When he wants to dance, the lions starts to laugh, followed by the other animals. They mock him and tell him that a giraffe can't dance.
So Gerald go into the deep jungle and look at the moon when suddenly a cricket sings him a song. Suddenly, Gerald's body feels light and he dance!
Soon, other animals who were finished with the dancing come and they see Gerald who dance and dance and dance. They ask him how is it that he dance like that. Everyone wants to know how.
But Gerald simply twizzled round and finished with a bow. Then he said: "We all can dance. When we find music that we love."
Great illustrations and the simple story very appropriate for childen.
