Wilbie And Harry

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Nice book about friendship and commitment.
Wilbie and Harry are
friends since they're babies. They are inseparable. They learn to walk
together, they play together, they go to school together, they sit in
class together, and go home together.
Whenever there's Wilbie, there's Harry.
They
have a jar which they put money in it, and when the jar is full, they
would spend it together. That's how together they are.
And one
day, the jar is full, and they want to spend the money at the school
fair. They buy things together, such as food, ticket for playing, etc.
And when there's only some money left, they buy 2 tickets, to win a
football with signatures.
Wilbie wins the ball, and instead of
sharing it with Harry as they used to do, Wilbie runs home and tell
everyone he meets that he won the football.
The next day, Harry
won't come out to play with Wilbie. At school, Harry won't sit in the
class with him, Harry didn't wait for Wilbie to go home together. Harry
is still upset because Wilbie didn't keep their commitment to share
everything they have saved together.
What would happen to their friendship? Will Harry forgives Wilbie? Or will they each find new friends?
This well-illustrated book is very good for young readers. Read it to your kids, or to your class, they'll love it!
